A very big moment for the citizens of Dona Ana County today. The first automatic aid response occurred at a barn fire in Don Ana. Las Cruces Fire Doña Ana County Public Safety and Mesilla Fire Department were all dispatched automatically for the first time. This means faster response of the ...appropriate resources when someone calls 911. None of it would have been possible without the cooperation of all the agencies and governments, as well as the hard work of our Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch Authority partners. It was a first today, and we know there will be adjustments to make, but we are so veryvhappy to be a part of it.
Our hearts are with the family of the fallen sergeant, and our brothers and sisters of Bernalillo County.
The Mesilla Fire Department has been working hard supporting our community and the surrounding areas. Much of the increases have come about as our County wide Automatic Aid agreement get built out, and with the change to a 100% fire based EMS service from all fire departments in the County. We are ...proud of the commitment our mostly volunteer department has shown, and we look forward to the future of the emergency services in Dona Ana County. Thank you to our emergency partners at Doña Ana County Public Safety , Las Cruces Fire, Sunland Park Fire Department, NASA Fire, NMSU Fire Department, and all of our law enforcement brothers and sisters.
